Viva La Vida

"Viva la Vida" is a Spanish expression that can be translated into English as "Long live life." In the context of the song, the expression seems to refer to the complexity of life, with references to power, decay, and the human condition.
Frida Kahlo incorporated this text into a painting (1954) with the message that, despite many setbacks, you can still live your life. The rock band Goldplay was inspired by Frida Kahlo's life philosophy in their song "Viva la Vide" (2008).
